Craig's Background
Craig is a Certified Advanced Rolfer, Craniosacral Therapist, and a licensed massage therapist in the State of Texas. He began his career as a bodyworker in 1993 when he began studying and practicing the art of massage. Craig was certified by the Rolf Institute in 1999 and has worked full-time as a bodyworker since then. In 2003 he also graduated from the 700-hour Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy training program at the Institute of Complementary Therapies. Craig completed his Advanced Rolfing Training in 2008.
In the early 2000's, after working with hundreds of clients, Craig became interested in the psyche's seemingly profound influence on pain, physical conditions and the body in general. Over the next 10 years, he embarked on an in-depth study of numerous body-mind therapies and practices. These forms included: Hakomi Therapy; Internal Family Systems Therapy; Focusing; Past Life Regression Therapy; Big Mind Process; Clarity Process; Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction; Yoga; Reiki; and Vipassana Meditation. This process culminated with Craig earning his master's degree in clinical counseling from Adams State University in 2012. He was licensed by the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in 2014. This knowledge has proved invaluable for many clients, especially those where stress, inner conflict, and chronic tension are contributing substantially to a person's symptoms.
Craig believes strongly that bodywork should be a process of self-empowerment, and he makes every attempt to bring this quality to his work. His goal is to assist his clients in becoming self-sufficient and self-aware, and to give them the tools they need to feel good in their bodies every day.
Craig maintains an active private practice in Houston as a bodyworker and somatic psychotherapist. He continues to be fascinated by the mind-body connection, and all his therapeutic work reflects this perspective. Click to learn more about Craig's psychotherapy practice.
